Welcome to the Brisbane CBD Bicycle User Group (BUG)! We’re a non-political, not-for-profit community organization dedicated to promoting cycling as a safe, convenient, and sustainable transport option in the Brisbane CBD.
Our Goals
- Advocate for cycling-friendly infrastructure and policies in the Brisbane CBD
- Provide education, resources, and support to encourage more people to cycle in the CBD
- Collaborate with other BUGs, community groups, and stakeholders to promote a more connected, sustainable, and people-friendly city
- Foster a sense of community among CBD cyclists through events, rides, and online forums

Our Area of Focus
Our primary focus is on the Brisbane CBD, within the Brisbane City Council’s Central Ward district. However, we also recognize the importance of connecting with other BUGs and community groups to promote cycling infrastructure and initiatives across the broader Brisbane region.
